DESCRIPTION:Making a Mug Rug\nReady to put your new sewing skills to use? This second workshop builds on the fundamentals covered in Part 1. In this hands-on session\, participants will create a simple mug rug—a small quilted coaster that’s perfect for practicing essential techniques. \nYou’ll reinforce skills such as accurate cutting\, piecing fabric\, sewing straight seams\, pressing\, and basic quilting and finishing methods. This project is designed to build confidence while helping you develop consistency and control on the sewing machine. \nParticipants should bring their own sewing machine in good working order and have a basic understanding of machine operation. By the end of the workshop\, you’ll leave with a completed mug rug and a stronger foundation for tackling future sewing projects. Come ready to practice\, learn\, and enjoy a relaxed\, creative environment. \nWhat’s Included:\n Entry to both workshop sessions\n Expert instruction by Denise Dickson\n Supplies (aside from required items listed below)\n A complimentary drink of your choosing each night \n Dates: March 12 & 19\n Cost: $40 per person\n Location: Blue Sky Coffee \nRequired Items:\nThe following supplies will need to be brought to the class.  They can be purchased at Michael’s (some online and some in store)\, Hobby Lobby\, Walmart\, and Amazon. \n\nSewing machine – bring the manual if you have it.  If you have never taken it out of the box\, please do so and make sure you have all the pieces.\nMachine needles size 10 or 12 universal (if you have a Singer\, you MUST get Singer needles)\nBobbin appropriate for your machine (refer to the manual)\nScissors – doesn’t need to be new but does need to be able to cut\nSeam ripper\nStraight pins\nA small ruler – a seam guage or a 6 inch ruler\nMeasuring tape\nThread  – color is not important but make sure it is an all purpose thread.  DO NOT get embroider thread.\n\n[TICKETS HERE]
