Sip & Create: Introduction to Sewing, a Two-Part Series [Part 2]

March 19 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Making a Mug Rug

Ready to put your new sewing skills to use? This second workshop builds on the fundamentals covered in Part 1. In this hands-on session, participants will create a simple mug rug—a small quilted coaster that’s perfect for practicing essential techniques.

You’ll reinforce skills such as accurate cutting, piecing fabric, sewing straight seams, pressing, and basic quilting and finishing methods. This project is designed to build confidence while helping you develop consistency and control on the sewing machine.

Participants should bring their own sewing machine in good working order and have a basic understanding of machine operation. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a completed mug rug and a stronger foundation for tackling future sewing projects. Come ready to practice, learn, and enjoy a relaxed, creative environment.
